Rose Milkweed – Asclepias incarnata

$8.00

This fragrant native is a guaranteed pollinator magnet and also a host plant for both Monarch and Queen butterfly caterpillars. Rose-pink flower heads formed in umbelled clusters are large and fragrant. Blooms are held atop stems that can reach to 4 feet high. Elongated, tan-brown seed pods with white silky ‘parachutes’ for the seeds give interest fall through winter. Rose milkweed grows by preference in moist areas and will need some supplemental water in very dry sites. An excellent container plant. Special value to native bees. Deer and rabbit resistant.
