Antelope Sage – Eriogonum jamesii

$8.00

This member of the buckwheat family has white to cream-colored flowers arranged in large umbels that entirely cover the plant. Flowers turn to shades of rust in the fall. Attracts many mid-summer pollinators. Will grow in near xeric conditions in nutrient-poor, well-drained soil needing supplemental water only in extremely dry spells. Tolerates clay soils if not over-watered. Blooms July to September. Great erosion control for steep, sunny slopes. May bloom sparsely the first year but progressively gets larger with more bloom in subsequent years. Classified as ‘special value to native bees’ by Xerces.org
