Full sun, purple dry sun, prairie plant, lavender, erect, easy to collect seed, can spread through rhizomes. Grows 4 in. to 3 ft. in height depending on moisture availability. Native to the plains, foothills, and montane zones and adapted to sandy-clayey soils.
