Long-blooming spikes bearing bright lemon-yellow flower spikes over feathery, light blue-green foliage make this a striking plant. The delicate flowering plumes can reach heights of 2 -5 ft. A trouble-free perennial, it does best in full sun and lean soils with excellent drainage.  Blooms May to September depending on location, and attracts hummingbirds, bees, moths, and other insects.
