Native White Yarrow – Achillea lanulosa

$8.00

The only yarrow native to Colorado, known as Common yarrow, has finely dissected green leaves that have a fern-like appearance and a profusion of ivory-white, flat-topped flowers. An easy garden plant that can be used in fresh or dried arrangements and has a pleasing fragrance. Usually around two ft. tall. Plant in full sun in average dry to medium moist, well-drained soil, excellent container plant. Many species of butterflies are attracted to Yarrow nectar, and numerous species of moths and beetles use the plant as a larval host. It is classified by Xerces.org as being of special value to native bees. It is drought tolerant and both deer and rabbit resistant. This species has the new name of Achillea millefolium in the most recent edition of the Flora of Colorado
