On February 24, 2021, the Conservation Committee signed on, along with 140 other organizations, to a community letter written by the Center for Biological Diversity and the Defenders of Wildlife, to be sent to House and Senate appropriators to significantly increase funding for the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Endangered Species Act,  “to protect, conserve and recover our nation’s endangered species and natural ecosystems….The proposed funding package will provide what’s truly required to meet the needs of our most imperiled animals and plants.”
