On December 2, 2022 these Comments are submitted by the Colorado Native Plant Society to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

We urge the Commission to grant the petition by WildEarth Guardians, 350 Colorado, Womxn from the Mountain, Physicians for Social Responsibility, The Larimer Alliance, and Sierra Club (‘WEG petition’) to create rulemaking on the subject of the cumulative ozone impacts of emissions from Colorado oil and gas facilities.

The focus of these Comments is on the adverse impacts of ozone from oil and gas production on biological resources, including native plant populations.
