Myrna Steinkamp was a founding member of the Colorado Native Plant Society. Her many contributions were particularly notable relation to rare native plants. Grants of up to $1,000 are provided for field or laboratory research on rare Colorado native plants and their conservation.

Grant Eligibility & Conditions

  • Applicants and advisors must be members of the Colorado Native Plant Society.
  • Awards may be the partial or sole source of funding for the research.
  • Awards may be used for travel, lodging, supplies, and expendable equipment. Awards may not be used for wages or  overhead.
  • Within one year, recipients will provide CoNPS a report and photographs for use in publications and are asked to present at the CoNPS annual conference or a chapter meeting.

  • Describe the purpose of the research, the questions it will address, the study sites and the research methods to be used, Provide a list of co-researchers and collaborators.
