Application Form

Grants of up to $1,000 are given twice annually for projects that further education, stewardship, and advocacy for Colorado native plants and habitats. Application deadlines are August 1 and February 1. Types of projects eligible for a Mission Grant include:

Education

  • Design or implementation of communications efforts to inform people about native plants and habitats.
  • Educational programs, projects, events or activities.

Stewardship

  • Projects to protect or conserve native plants and habitats.
  • Communications efforts to promote conservation of native plants and habitats.

Advocacy

  • Support for legislation that benefits native plants and habitats.
  • Support for other agencies’ efforts to conserve native plants and habitats.

Grant Eligibility & Conditions

  • Applicants must be members of the Colorado Native Plant Society.
  • Awards may be the partial or sole source of funding for the work and may be granted to individuals or organizations.
  • Within one year, recipients will provide CoNPS a written report and photographs for use in publications and are asked to present at the CoNPS annual conference or a chapter meeting. The report will include documentation of how the grant was used.

2. Resumé or Curriculum Vitae

3. Project Description

  • Describe the project and which native plant or native plant community/habitat the project will benefit.
  • Explain how the project will contribute to, or advance, the mission of CoNPS through education, stewardship or advocacy.

4. Project Timeline & Budget
