Sulphur Flower – Eriogonum umbellatum
A long-blooming, reliable perennial covered with a dense mat of tiny yellow flowers which open to form compound rounded clusters about 4 inches across. Give this one full sun, it tolerates drought, poor soil, and high heat. About 12 inches tall, blooming from early summer to fall. Attracts a wide variety of pollinators, seeds eaten by birds. Blossoms fade to warm rust colors in fall and can be used in dried arrangements.
