Another perennial that absolutely lives up to its name! Showy goldeneye gives a splash of bright yellow color to enliven your garden with mid-season to early fall blooms. Attracts both birds and pollinators with small-headed, sunflower-like flowers that have golden yellow rays surrounded by yellow to bronze-yellow center cones and green bracts.  Average height two feet. Easily grown in average, dry to medium, well-drained soils in full sun. Tolerates some light shade once established. Adapts to a wide range of soils, including poor, infertile ones. Drought tolerant and Deer resistant.
