Fragrant Beardtongue – Penstemon palmeri


A fragrant penstemon bearing tall spikes of flowers with a rounded, ‘puffed up’ appearance in shades of pink, with red nectar guides. Flower spikes can reach 4-5 ft. in height. This plant is highly attractive to many pollinators and to hummingbirds. Very drought and heat tolerant, self-seeds readily. Deer and rabbit resistant. Blooms June – August.
