Introduced to Colorado, this plant produces showy, fragrant trumpet-shaped flowers up to 8 inches across that open late afternoon and fade by late morning, good for your night garden. Smelly when bruised, highly attractive to the sphinx and hawk moths. Extracts from this plant and its relatives are narcotic and, if ingested, potentially lethal.
